Sri Lankan foreign minister G.L. Peiris has reiterated in the Sri Lankan Parliament that Nepal's President Dr Ram Baran Yadav had indeed requested President Mahinda Rajapaksa "to help resolve political problems in his country".
Daily Mirror, an English language news daily published from Sri Lanka in its front page story Wednesday quoted Peiris as saying that there was no necessity for him to lie before the parliament in this respect.
